(IID has a new Energy Department Manager)…It was announced Wednesday morning.

Marilyn del Bosque Gilbert began her new job Monday. The Imperial Irrigation District says she will plan and direct the essential functions of the department. Her duties include overseeing administration, regulatory policy, operations and energy infrastructure, resource planning, system and trading operations and generation to meet the district’s strategic plan and the department’s goals and objectives. In her 20 year career, she has served as director of operations services for the massive Long Island Power Authority. She spent 14 years with the Brownsville Texas Public Utilities Board as director of energy services, energy risk manager and key account manager. She has also served as energy manager of the Brownsville Independent School District. She earned a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s in architectural engineering from the University of Texas.
