Hurricane Rosa is still off the coast of Baja California but the National Weather Service is taking no chances.
A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the Imperial , Palo Verde and Yuma Valleys as well as almost all of southeast and central Arizona. The NWS says that from 1.5 to 3 inches of rain may be in the remnants of the storm when it hits land. The rain could start as soon as Sunday evening and continue through Wednesday night. A Flash Flood Watch means that flooding of washes , creeks and other drainage areas is possible. With the rain , high temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-eighties. The Flash Flood Watch is in effect from Monday morning through late Tuesday night.
