(National Weather Services issues an Excessive Heat Warning)….It is in effect for this Monday and Tuesday
It is not the first Excessive Heat Warning to be issued this summer, but it is expected to bring the hottest temperatures so far this summer. Temperatures are expected to range between 112 and 118 degrees across the lower deserts. The affected areas are Imperial County and Yuma through Arizona to Phoenix. The Weather Service says we will experience the hottest temperatures of the year, with significant heat related impacts. Be aware of heat related illness from those exercising or working outdoors, as well the most vulnerable populations without adequate air conditioning. Know where the Cool Centers are located. A Cool Center list can be found on the County, IID and Public Health websites.
