State Route 86 at Hoskins Road was blocked for about an hour and a half Sunday.

The closure was caused by a collision between a car and an SUV in the southbound lanes of 86. One person was trapped in the SUV until they were extricated by Imperial County Fire Department personnel. There were several individuals with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
