An Arizona state lawmaker kicked out of office can run the Arizona State Senate.
Don Shooter represented Yuma until he was removed from office in February after an investigation concluded that the sexually harassed at least seven women. The Arizona Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that Shooter has maintained an apartment in Yuma as his primary residence and is therefore eligible to run in the August primary election. Shooter , a Republican , has filed more than 800 signatures to qualify for the primary ballot. Other Republicans in the race are Brent Backus and Senator Sine Kerr , who was appointed to finish Shooter's term.
