(The 4th of July Holiday weekend)...Fire Departments around the County are asking residents to be responsible.
Safe and Sane Fireworks are legal in Brawley, Calexico, El Centro, Imperial, Westmorland and other areas. Any other fireworks are illegal. In the unincorporated areas of the County, all fireworks are illegal. If you are celebrating Independence Day with Safe and Sane fireworks, keep it within City Limits. The City of Brawley has special hours the Fireworks can be used. From 9:00 am to 11:00 pm, through noon July 6th. Other communities may have similar restrictions, as well. They are encouraging residents to have fun, but also be responsible.
