Imperial County voters will be faced with a number of ballot measures in November. On the General Election ballot there will be Measures N through T.

Measure N is countywide and is labelled Maintaining Local Hospitals and Emergency Services. If passed the measure would impose a parcel tax of $111.00 per parcel for the Imperial Valley Healthcare District.

Measure O is labelled City of Calexico Public Safety Sales Tax. It would a sales tax of 1/2% initially and that would adjust to 1% on October 1, 2030. The city expects annual revenue of $4 million initially and $8 million with the increase.

Measures P and Q are for Meadows Union Elementary School District. Measure P would levy approximately $20.00 per $100,000 of assessed value and Measure Q $25.00 per $100,000 of assessed value. Both bond issues would fund improvements at the school.

Measure R is to improve facilities at Westmorland Elementary School District. There would be $25.00 per $100,000 value assessed. 

Measure S is countywide for 911 Response/Public Safety Protection. The measure, if passed, would establish a 1/2% sales tax hike countywide generating approximately $20 million annually. 

The City of El Centro has Measure T on the ballot. It is titled El Centro Public Safety/City Services Measure. This would increase the sales tax in the city by 1/2 percent. The funds, an estimated $8.4 million annually, would be directed to various public safety elements as well as addressing homelessness, retaining and attracting local businesses, maintaining youth recreation and other general city services.
