(Assault reported Wednesday morning).....El Centro Police responded toi the 1700 of Olive Avenue.

The report was an assault with a deadly weapon. The victim said the suspect assaulted them, before picking up a knife and attempting to stab them. The victim escaped the attack and called 911.During the investigation police learned the suspect was wanted for multiple felony offenses, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats and felony domestic violence. The suspect had fled the scene and was reportedly in Brawley. With the assistance of the Brawley Police Department, the suspect was located El Centro Police Department's K-9 unit and drome uniit responded and Drone Unit responded to assist. The suspect fled to a vehicle, and started the engine. Police smashed the rear window o the vicle and prepared K-9 Maverick to attack. The suspect then surrendered He was taken into custody without further incident. He was booked into county jail with several felony charges
