An Imperial County Superior Court jury found Anthony Scott Grantham guilty of all charges against him.

Grantham, 62, was charged with a felony, driving the wrong direction of traffic while fleeing a peace officer. In January of this year, Imperial County Sheriff's deputies contacted Grantham at a Holtville residence. He fled the scene and led deputies in a pursuit that included speeds of over 100 miles per hour as well as driving the wrong direction of vehicle travel. The pursuit covered over 70 miles and ended when Grantham was stopped with the assistance of the U.S. Border Patrol. Grantham had previously gone to prison in 2020 for a crime of felony recklessly driving to flee a peace officer. He has also been convicted of First-Degree Residential Burglary. Grantham will be sentenced on August 24, 2026.
