A date has been set for the City of Imperials challenge to a proposed data center.

Imperial County Superior Court Judge L. Brooks Anderholt set the trial to start June 25, 2026. The City of Imperial has challenged the proposed data center and sued the County of Imperial over the project. The court also denied the county's motion for judgement on the pleadings. The parties are now complete an administrative record, submit legal briefs, and prepare for the trial.
