A car ran over a pedestrian early Wednesday morning near Somerton.

Yuma County Sheriff's deputies responded to the accident ay 12:02 a.m. A car heading north on State Highway 95 near mile marker14 hit a pedestrian walking the roadway. The pedestrian was transported to oneida Health with serious injuries. According to YCSO, neither impairment nor speed appears to be a factor in the accident.
