The Calipatria City Council will meet Monday.

The Special Meeting of the Council will start with a Closed Session at 11:30 a.m. The closed session agenda has only one item and that is for a conference with legal counsel concerning potential litigation. 

The Council will convene in open session at noon with a full agenda. On the consent agenda is an item that calls for a measure on the November 5, 2024 asking wether the position of City Clerk should remain an elected position or be appointed by the City Council. Another ballot measure would ask the same question about the position of City Treasurer. 

The Council is also expected to discuss and possibly take action on the purchase of an excavator, discuss a lease agreement for Tyson Medical Foundation and a lease agreement with Estrada Towing. 

The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at Calipatria City Hall.
