The Imperial County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday.
The Board presented Certificates of Appreciation to the Bad Rabbits, a girls bi-national flag football team. The girls were recognized for their exceptional performance and sportsmanship, supporting the team's role in fostering cross-border sportsmanship and promoting youth sports.
The Board also allocated $500.00 from the Community Benefit Account to the Imperial Valley Pickleball Association The action aims to enhance local recreational opportunities and community wellness through pickleball.
The Board also adopted two resolutions to levy special taxes within the Imperial County Community Facilities Districts. One for the Los Alamos International Center and the other for McCabe Ranch. The funds will facilitate the funding and maintenance of public infrastructure and services in those districts.
