(A grant for the ECPD accepted by the City Council).... At this week's City Council meeting El Centro Police present the grant information.

They said it was the first time they had applied for the State's Cannabis Tax Fund Grant program. The grant was approved for $263,629.23. The Department said the funds would be used for training and dealing with impaired driving issues. The grant program is tthrough the Department of the California Highway Patrol. The funds are provided by Proposition 64.
