The National Weather Service (NWS) has extended the Excessive Heat Warning, again.
NWS says that extreme heat will continue in the region through the majority of this week as strong high pressure remains overhead. The Excessive Heat Warning is in effect through Thursday. The Imperial and Mexicali Valleys can expect temperatures to range between 110 and 120 degrees with overnight lows ranging from the low 80's to near 90. Temperatures may start to drop a few degrees by Friday.
Residents are cautioned to continue to take measure to reduce the threat of heat-related illnesses.
