CBP seizes methamphetamine from the SENTRI lanes).....The seizure was at the West Calexico Port earlier this week.

A 34-year-old woman drove up to the port, in the SENTRI land. After an initial inspection, the driver and the vehicle were sent to the secondary inspection area. In the secondary inspection area, a non-intrusive vehicle scan was performed using a port imaging system. Customs and Border Protection Officers noticed irregularities in the floorboard and dashboard of the vehicle. A CBP K-9 Team alerted to the presence of narcotics. Officers searched the vehicle and found 91 packages of methamphetamine. The packages weighed just under 100 pounds. The narcotics and the vehicle were seized by the CBP. The driver was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. The seizure was the result of Operation Apollo.
