(Calexico Recall election was held April 16).... County Elections issued a new update on the balloting Thursday at just after 5 pm.

The numbers are unofficial. The Department says the numbers will not be official until all ballots are counted and canvassed. The voters were asked on the ballot to answer yes or no to the question Should Calexico City Council members Raul Urena and Gilberto Manzanarez be recalled. The latest update indicates 3,367 yes votes for Urena. There are 1, 219 no votes. For Manzanarez there are 3, 293 yes votes and 1, 253 no votes. Neither of the Council members on the ballot have conceded. The counting continues.
