Just over 1,000 Imperial Irrigation District customers in the North Shore area were blacked out Thursday.

According to the IID, a power outage was reported at 12:24 p.m. Thursday afternoon. IID reported the outage was caused by a bird strike that also caused a fire at the North Shore Substation. IID crews were able to restore all power by shortly after 2:00 p.m.
