Caltrans maintenance crews will be working on eastbound Interstate 8 Sunday and Monday nights.

The work  will intermittently close portions of the Interstate between State Route 115 and Gordon Wells Road between 9 p.m. and 5a.m. both nights. According to Caltrans, a 15-minute traffic control will be in place to install temporary concrete barriers to protect crews working on bridges. On-ramps at Brock Research Center Road and Gordon Wells Road will be close. Traffic on Even Hewes Highway will be detoured to Interstate 8 at State Route 98. The concrete barriers will be in place for approximately 2 months.
