(CBP seizes meth and heroin)...It happened earlier this week at the Calexico West Port of Entry.

A 35 year old US Citizen drove a pick-up up to the port. The man and the vehicle were sent to the secondary inspection area. A non-intrusive x-ray of the vehicle revealed anomalies. A CBP canine enforcement team also alerted to the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, Customs and Border Protection Officers found 223 packages in the rear passenger door. The packages were tested. It was determined a total of 126 pounds were methamphetamine and almost 8 pounds tested positive for heroin. The estimated street value of all the narcotics was set at over $410,000. The driver was turned over to Homeland Security investigations. The CBP seized the vehicle and narcotics.
