(A Day of Education and Fun)....It is the Annual Pioneer's Day.

Imperial County Historical Society and Pioneer's Museum are presenting the Annual Pioneer's Day from 10 am to 2 pm, on Saturday April 1st.. Enjoy an educational day of historical based activities, along with food for purchase and live entertainment. Educational activities include outdoor demonstrations of blacksmithing, leather tooling, gold panning, and cow milking cows. Other activities include roping and hoping on a hayride. Inside there will be historical demonstrations with butter churning and coffee grinding. There will also be art activities inspired by turn of the century handcrafts, including sewing demonstrations, rag doll making and paper quilt collages. It will all be at the Pioneer's Museum on Aten Road. The day will begin with the NAF Color Guard, leading the opening ceremony, that includes a welcoming speech from their new leaders and a medly of patriotic tunes from the Master Chorale. There will be live performances by Danny Walker and his family, and the IV Ramblers. The Imperial Valley Sunrunners will have a collection of custom and classic cars.
