(Body identified)….It was found Tuesday.

A Federal Medical Station is expected to be in operation by Monday. The FMS is at the Imperial Valley College gym. The FMS will have 80 beds and will be staffed by the California National Guard and the California Medical Assistance Team. Patients at the facility will be low-acuity patients who are close to discharge. They will transferred directly from Imperial Valley hospitals. The Federal Medical Station is a response to the surge of patients requiring hospitalization due to COVID-19. 

The Imperial Valley College campus remains closed to the public and a perimeter will be established around the gym. Members of the public will not be able to access care directly at the FMS. 

More than a quarter-million dollars worth of cocaine was seized Thursday.
