( Fire near Winterhaven)....It was reported at around 11:00 Wednesday morning.

County Fire responded, along with several Departments from Imperial County. Rural Metro and Yuma Fire also responded. The fire was brought under control at around 12:00 noon, but not before it destroyed 3 structures. Two houses burned, one occupied and one vacant. A storage shed also burned. The three occupants of the one house were displaced, but uninjured. County Fire Chief Estrada said the fire also burned 9 acres of BLM land. At last report the fire was under control.
