(Fairview Fire Update)....It was released Tuesday morning.

That is just after the task force from Imperial County and Yuma was demobilized and sent home. Cal Fire says the fire near Hemet has been stopped at 28,307 acres. In the update, officials say the fire is 62% contained. The remnents of Hurricane Kay provided the tremendous assist needed to stop the spread of the fire. The Riverside Couty Fire has destroyed 35 structures and damaged 7 others. There have been two fatalities as a result of the fire and one injury. After much of the mutual assistance was sent home, Cal Fire says 1,996 personnel remain on scene to try and completely extinguish the blaze.
