A 30-year-old man was cited for burglary after he stole a package from an El Centro porch.

The theft was reported shortly before 3:00 p.m. Monday when a resident in the 900 block of Manuel Ortiz Avenue saw a man in an older model car stop and steal the package. The suspect was located several hours later based on the description of the thief and his car. The package was returned, and the suspect was cited and released on burglary charges.
