((3 arrested in Jacumba Wilderness region)...It happened Monday afternoon.

Border Patrol agents responded to a report of a fire in the region. As the approached the scene, they found 3 individuals in the vicinity. The 3 appeared dehydrated and were without water. The agents called in Emergency Medical Services and the fire department. They also called the Bureau of Land Management. EMS evaluated and cleared the 3 medically. In the meantime the fires were brought under control. It was determined the 3 had entered the United States illegally. It was also suspected the 3 had something to do with starting the fires in the region.. The 3 were arrested by Border Patrol agents for illegal entry into the United States. The 3 were interviewed by the BLM, who are investigating the fires.
