(COVID cases continue to surge upward).....The Latest COVID 19 numbers were released Tuesday morning.

The numbers are provided by the County Public Health Department. According to the latest numbers, Active Cases of COVID 19 are continuing to surge upward. There are now 786 active Cases of COVID 19 in Imperial County. That is up from 627 cases reported last Thursday. 15 of those cases are hospitalized, with 3.3% of the Intensive Care Beds occupied in the county. New cases per day per 100,000 population at 32.40, with the positivity rate at 19.4%. Deaths attributed to the virus remain at 941. The predominent varient in Imperial County is now the Omicron Varient.
