Traffic near the Calexico East Port of Entry was snarled late Thursday afternoon.

A big rig rolled over on Maggio Road and State Route 7 near the border crossing at about 4:17 p.m. The driver was briefly trapped in the cab but escaped injury. Traffic in the area was shut down for over 3 hours while the wreckage was cleared.
