The Imperial County Registrar of Voters has updated the returns from the June 7 Primary Election.

There were several measures on the ballot for local school districts. These General Obligation Bond measures require 55% to pass. The Imperial Unified School District Measure A appears headed to defeat. The $50 million bond measure has 50.49% yes votes. The El Centro Elementary School District Measure Y, a $38.8 million bond issue, has 2,047 yes votes. That's 56.25%. The $3.750 million Measure W for Westmorland schools has a 56.48% yes vote while a companion $3.750 million Measure Z for Westmorland schools has a 55.35% yes vote. 

Measure V, to decide wether the position of Imperial City Clerk be elected or appointed, has 989 no votes and 967 yes votes. If defeated the Imperial City Clerk will remain and elected position.
