Creative smugglers tried to use a cloned van in their illegal operation.

U. S. Border Patrol agents operating near the Highway 86 immigration checkpoint stopped a yellow van with markings of a restoration service. The driver initially identified himself with a fake i.d. card and a fake uniform shirt. After a brief interview, it was determined that the driver was a Mexican citizen illegally in the U.S. The 28-year-old man was the only occupant of the van. He is facing federal charges.
