The latest numbers from the Imperial County Department of Public Health show that COVID-19 is still around.

As of Tuesday, May 24,2022, there are 301 active cases of the virus in the Valley. That is up from 207 reported last Thursday. There have been an additional 2 deaths attributed to the coronavirus and variants bringing that number up to 919. Imperial County has a 95%+ vaccination rate, and the state metrics show there are 8.4 new cases per day per 100,000 population and a positivity rate of 12.5%.
