(IVROP event returns).....The Dancing With The Stars Gala returned Friday.

The return follows a two year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic. It was held at the Quechan Casino, and it was sold out. The Judges Choice was Gerard Irungaray from Holtville, with Triple I Press LLC. People's Choice went to Sherry Cowie of Prince and Associates Realtors in El Centro. Other participants included Mike Castro with Styles and Smiles, Jill Nelipovich a math Professor at IVC, El Centro Police Chief Brian Johnson, Jeannette Montano with the Imperial County Office of Education and Ron Rittenour with El Centro Regional Medical Center. The event is a major fundraiser for the Imperial Valley Regional Occupational Program. There is still no word on how much was raised at the event.
