(Minor Earthquake Monday afternoon)...The US Geological Survey says it was felt by a lot of people.

The USGS says the magnitude 3.5 earthquake hit at 2:35 Monday afternoon. It was centered in an area about 15 miles south of Borrego Springs and just over 12 miles northeast of Mt. Laguna. The USGS says the quake was felt by a large portion of San Diego, south to Tecate, east to the Salton Sea and north of Borrego Springs. Geologists say the quake was recorded on a fault that was very active in the 1890's. While the quake Monday rattled a lot of nerves, no damage or injury has been reported. The Geologists say a magnitude 3.5 is not unusual in this area.
