(Brawley City Council to hold a speciial meeting)...The meeting will be held Tuesday evening.

There is just one item on the agenda. The council will discuss appointing two new City Council members and avoid the November General Election. If it is approved, it could save the City around $50,000. Council members Gil Rebollar and Perry Monita did not file for re-election. During the extended  filing period only Eric Montoya Reyes and Clyde Richard Edgar Jr. filed for the positions.. By simply appointing the two, they would avoid the local election process and save money, as well.
