(Wildfire reported near the California/Arizona border)....The fire was reported on the Quechan Tribal Reservation Monday night.

The fire was near Quechan and Picacho Roads. Officials say the fire forced the closure of the Ocean to Ocean Road. The fire burnt 2.5 acres, taking out IID power poles. This caused temporary power outages to  several homes near Winterhaven, but no structures were threatened. Fire Departments assisting with the fire were from the City of Yuma, Rural Metro, City of Holtville and County Fire Station 1 and 8. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Power has been restored to the 300 residents affected.
