(Statewide Free Clean California Dump Days)....It is on April 23rd.

That is Earth Day. Caltrans will be celebrating by hosting Free Dump Day events throughout the state. Caltrans will welcome everyone to bring non-hazardous, unwanted items to the nearest Dump Day event for free disposal. There will be two sites in Imperial County. In El Centro at the Maintenance Yard at 1102 Montenegro Way in El Centro from 7 am to 11 am or until capacity is reached at the site. Also at the Brawley Yard, 200 South Palm Avenue in Brawley, again from 7 am until 11 am or until capacity is reached at the site. Collection is limited to household items such as tires,metal, plastic, fibergklass, fabric, asphalt, dirt, concrete, wood, mattresses, househod appliances and landscape trimmings. No construction materials, hazardous waste, e-waste, treated wood waste, or asbestos of any type.
