(Tool Boxes full of narcotics)....It was reported recently at the Tecate Port of Entry.
A Toyota Pick-up driven by a 56 year old man was in line at the port. Customs and Border Protection Officers targeted the vehicle, and it was sent to the secondary inspection area.. During the secondary inspection, officers found 94 packages under and inside tool boxes. The packages tested positive for Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and heroin. The packages had a combined weight of over 415 pounds.. The driver was a Mexican National with a valid legal permanent resident document. He was placed under arrest and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations for processing. He was later booked into the Metropolitan Corrections Center in San Diego. The narcotics, valued at around $2.56 million, and the vehicle were seized.
