The City of Yuma Fire Department quickly extinguished an early morning brush fire Friday.

The fire was reported just after 5:00 a.m. Friday in the West Wetlands Park along the Colorado River. Fire personnel took about an hour to contain and control the blaze. An estimated 1 acre was involved. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
