The City of El Centro has received a $300,000 grant for a conceptual design plan for Imperial Avenue.

The grant is part of $34.7 million awarded by Caltrans to plan sustainable transportation projects in local communities. The El Centro grant is part of the Complete Streets Plan and will build on local planning efforts. The plan calls for improvements such as multi-purpose pathway and protected bicyclke lanes.
