(Vietnam War Veteran's being honored today).....The legacy of the millions who served the nation during the Vietnam War are being honored today.

It was on this date, March 29, 1973, when the last American combat troops left Vietnam. The VFW Post 9305, Vietnam and Global War Veterans participated in a local ceremony at Bucklin Park in El Centro. More than 3 million Americans served in-country during the war and 58,281 men and women made the ultimate sacrifice. Many Vietnam Veterans returned home to a divided country and, at times, little to no respect for their service. March 29th was set aside to honor the Veterans for all they gave for their country.
