El Centro Police recovered a van that was reported stolen early Thursday morning.

The medical van was reported stolen at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday. It was taken from the area of 5th and Main Streets in El Centro and was last seen heading south. Several hours later the van was spotted back in the area of 5th and Main and the driver was seen running from the vehicle. Police were able to detain the suspect in a nearby apartment complex. The man was arrested and booked at Imperial County Jail for Possession of Stolen Property. The van was returned undamaged.
