Two separate incidents shut down county roads Wednesday.

A haystack fire in the area of McCabe and Austin Roads caused the roadway to be closed. Imperial County Fire Department knocked down the fire after nearly 4 hours. According to fire officials, the hay will continue to shoulder and smoke until Thursday.

Early Wednesday afternoon a big rig caught fie and burned at State Route 115 and Zenos Road near Holtville. It took several hours for Imperial County Fire to put out the fire and for the wreckage to be cleared. Zenox Road between State Route 115 and 6th Street. There were no injuries reported.
