(National Science Foundation award)....Two San Diego State University faculty members have received the award.

The nearly $200,000 NSF award is for Hispanic Serving institutions. As part of the award, assistant professors of mathematics at SDSU/Imperial Valley, Huan Qin and Tingting Tang will develop a Summer Bridge Math Experience to prepare incoming students for success. The aim of the four-day workshop is to boost student confidence in math while exposing them to STEM careers.
