(Narcotics seized)...It happened recently at the Highway 86 checkpoint.

A black Mercedes had been sent to the secondary inspection area. A Border Patrol K-9 Detection Team alerted to the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a green pouch in the dashboard area of the vehicle. The pouch contained 3 bundles of narcotics. There was a bundle of heroin, one with methamphetamine and the third contained fentynal pills. The 16.9 grams of heroin had an estimated value of $1,686. The 8.9 grams of meth had an estimated value of $354, and the 24.99 grams of fentynal pills had an estimated value of over $3,700. The 41 year old male driver of the vehicle, the vehicle and narcotics were all turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration
