The National Weather Service ( NWS ) has issued a Wind Advisory for Imperial and Yuma Counties.

According to the NWS, the approach and passage of a dry Springtime weather system will lead to a period of strong and gusty winds. On Saturday evening and Sunday morning, anticipate periods of widespread gusts over 40 mph, with some higher gusts near 50-55 mph. Expect areas of blowing dust with reduced visibility. The winds should move out of the area by Monday.
