(Border Patrol agents arrest one)...Border Patrol agents recently were conducting anti-smuggling operations in the Indio area.

The agents made a vehicle stop on Interstate 10, on a vehicle hauling a travel trailer, near Dillon Road. Agents interviewed two individuals in the vehicle. They determined one was a US citizen and the other was a Mexican National who did not have the proper documents to be in the United States. The agents inspected the trailer and found seven more individuals laying on the floor. Five were Mexican Nationals and two were Guatemala Citizens. None had the proper documents to be in the US legally. The driver, the US citizen, was turned over to local authorities for an outstanding warrant for probation violation.
