(El Centro Police update their investigation)....The investigation is into the stabbing death of a 62 year old man.

Mario Zepeda De La Torre was found suffering serious stab wounds Saturday night. Police found the victim in the 400 block of Main Street in El Centro at around 11:30 at night. The victim was given emergency treatment before being transferred to El Centro Regional Medical Center. He succumbed to the wounds at the hospital. Police say their investigation determined the man had been stabbed at 4th and State Streets. Police made that determination after following a blood trail. Officials say investigators are looking at a suspect, but no names will be released until an arrest is made. Police are asking anyone with any information about the incident to call the El Centro Police Investigations Bureau or contact the Department on Social Media
