(Stabbing victim identified)... El Centro Police responded to a call at around 11:39 Saturday night.

When they arrived at the scene in the 400 block of Main Street. The officers found a man at the curb line, suffering from apparent stab wounds. The police began immediate life saving measures before transporting the victim to El Centro Regional Medical Center. At the hospital the man succumbed from the wounds. The victim has since been identified as 62 year old Mario Zepeda De a Torre from El Centro. Officers canvassed the area and located a possible crime scene in the area of 4th and State Streets. No arrests have been announced and the investigation is continuing.
