(Border Patrol makes another rescue)...Since October, the El Centro Sector Border Patrol has rescued 131.

The individuals were lost, in distress or abandoned by smugglers. The latest rescue was reported Sunday evening. At around 5:39, the El Centro Sector Foreign Operation Branch notified the El Centro Station of an individual in need of assistance, Agents responded to the last known GPS coordinates provided. At around 6:31 Sunday evening the agents located an individual about a mile and a half North of the US/Mexico border. After a wellness check it was determined no medical aid was needed. It was also verified the individual did not possess the required documents to be in the US legally. The individual was transported to the El Centro Processing Center.
