El Centro Police have released more information about a late Saturday night murder.

Police responded to the 400 block of Main Street at about 11:39 p.m. in regard to a possible stabbing. Officers located a victim lying on the south curb line of the street with apparent stab wounds and immediately began life saving efforts. The victim was rushed to El Centro Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his wounds. The victim is described as a Hispanic man in his early 60's and an El Centro resident. After canvassing the area officers located the possible crime scene in the area of 4th and State Streets. The suspect is still outstanding, and the murder remains under investigation.
